The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities re-opened its request for proposals on June 1, 2012, for up to five new grant projects for Outreach and Basic Development. Groups that are made up of people who are black, Hispanic or Latino, Asian or Native American can apply for up to $10,000 for a one year project for activities that help their community provide culturally competent support to people with disabilities.
Applications will be reviewed quarterly as long as funds are available. Grants may only be given to organizations having a Tax ID number. Other organizations or individuals who are interested in this activity may partner with an organization with a Tax ID to apply for funds.
