Reports explains Texas’ plans for social services that will be provided using federal Title XX funds. This covers a variety of programs managed by the Texas Health and Human Services, Department of Aging and Disability Services, Department of State Health Services, Department of Family and Protective Services, and Texas Workforce Commission. It includes programs that support self-sufficiency, prevent abuse and reduce inappropriate institutional care by providing for community-based or home-based care, as well as institutional services. Examples include adult and child protective services, mental health services, and non-Medicaid services for residential and community-based care.
