56 Health and Human Services Offices Closing Across State

The Health and Human Services Commission is closing 56 offices across the state over 16 months to help reduce costs. HHSC expects to save more than $2 million a year in lease payments and related costs once the consolidations are complete. The consolidations began in May 2012 and continue through Aug. 31, 2013.

Offices being closed are in the following places:

  • Colorado City

  • Galveston

  • Harlingen
  • Hearne
